James 1: 12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
This week has been one that has been particularly trying for me and I have had to dig deep to find the hutzpah to press on, to keep going, to face life, and persevere.
In James 1, we are told that the one who perseveres is blessed and will receive the crown the Lord has promised. Even when perseverance seems impossible, the trail seems overwhelming and we can't see the light for the darkness surrounding us, we can persevere. We have a Saviour in heaven interceding on our behalf, pressing us on, giving us strength and ultimately the hope to help us persevere.
John 16:33
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
So take courage, the Lord is with you.
